Oura is coming after Samsung with the Oura Ring 4

0

For the longest time ever, if you ever wanted a smart ring, the Oura Ring was more or less the default choice. That has changed with the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Ring, Samsung’s take on the smart ring. But it looks like Oura isn’t letting Samsung get ahead of them as they are apparently readying the Oura Ring 4.

This ring would be the successor to the Oura Ring Gen 3. Not much is known about the device, but it is close to launch. According to a report from Android Authority, they have spotted the device in a certification listing with the model number OA11. It is hard to tell what kind of new features there are based on the images.

We expect that at the very least, it will share similar health and fitness tracking features as its predecessor. Perhaps it could come with more accurate sensors and better battery. It is about time that Oura refreshed the device too. The Oura Ring 3 was originally launched back in 2021, so it has been about 3 years since.

Smart rings are essentially similar to smartwatches in terms of features. They are used to track the health of the wearer by measuring heart rate, monitoring sleep, and more. They are also used for fitness to track activities, steps, and so on. Smart rings do not come cheap, they are a great alternative for those who don’t like to wear a watch.

Oura hasn’t confirmed when the Oura Ring 4 will launch, but if this certification is anything to go on, it shouldn’t be too far off.
