After months of waiting, the Sony Xperia 5ii is finally available for purchase. Sony’s second flagship smartphone for 2020 is a smaller variant to the Xperia 1ii that was released in the first half of the year. The phone may not be suite as big (or expensive), but the cameras on the back of the phone feature the same hardware, promising to deliver “professional” quality images.
To see if Sony’s claims are true, we’ve begun testing the cameras on the Xperia 5ii by capturing more than 100 photos and videos with its four cameras. Our Xperia 5ii camera test results will give you a good idea of how the cameras on the phone handle themselves in a variety of different lighting conditions.
Take a look at the results below. We are also working on a few camera comparisons with the Xperia 5ii, pitting it against some of the best smartphone cameras of 2020.
