Rhythm games are more than simply tapping and holding a square to the beat. They can be interactive where you move your whole body or more simplistic such as tapping along to the beat. Sonic Cat uses a simplistic approach with two tap areas to slash the boxes and other objects approaching your character. Tap when the objects are in the hit zone and Sonic Cat slashes the beats away. Game levels have unique looks and progressing through the levels unlocks additional songs and other objects to slash the beats including lightsabers and various swords. There are 100+ songs and more are regularly added.
