Rhythm games are more than simply tapping and holding a square to the beat. They can be interactive where you move your whole body or more simplistic such as tapping along to the beat. Tiles Hop: EDM Rush!

Tiles Hop: EDM is a great Rhythm game with a slight twist. Unlike other “tapping” games, Tiles Hop has you swiping left or right on the screen to keep the bouncing on the oncoming tiles. Miss a tile and you start over. The number of tiles appearing is based on the music and to make it challenging, during the song, some of the upcoming tiles slide across the screen, forcing you to make a quick move. The app includes many popular songs and you can import your own songs.

Magic Tiles 3

Magic Tiles 3 is a popular piano-style rhythm game where your goal is to tap the black tiles in rhythm to the song. The more accurate you are, the greater the point total. Magic Tiles 3 includes various modes such as Band mode where you can play using other instruments and online. The online mode lets you find a quick match or create your own match and use your preferred songs when battling others. Songs are updated frequently including several hit songs.

Just Dance Now

Just Dance Now is the standalone app for the popular Just Dance series. Using your phone, and an internet-connected screen choose from over 500 songs to dance along to. Mirror the choreography onscreen to earn points. Challenge your friends or others around the world in dance battles to some of the most popular songs out there. New songs are content are added regularly to keep the playlist fresh. Select your favorite songs for your playlist and use the Healthkit integration to track your calories burned during each song.

Planet Quest

Planet Quest is a little out of this world…pun intended. You hover over planets in your spaceship and shoot creatures as they rotate around the planet in step to the music. However, make sure you don’t destroy the flowers. The concept is simple but it’s harder to execute than imagined. The better you play, the more you unlock. Sonic Cat – Slash the Beats

Sonic Cat uses a simplistic approach with two tap areas to slash the boxes and other objects approaching your character. Tap when the objects are in the hit zone and Sonic Cat slashes the beats away. Game levels have unique looks and progressing through the levels unlocks additional songs and other objects to slash the beats including lightsabers and various swords. There are 100+ songs and more are regularly added.

DEEMO is a story-driven Rhythm game. Deemo is a girl that fell from the sky into the world of the treehouse. Here she plays the piano and a magical journey begins. DEEMO includes over 60+ free songs in Story mode and 220+ songs in total. There is a wide variety of piano music from many famous composers. The game is also completely available offline for those times when no internet connection is available.

Beat Hazard 2

Beat Hazard 2 combines music and gaming in a unique way. Using the music from SHOUTcast or uploaded music, battle your way across various levels of this arcade shooter. Each song creates a unique spaceship and procedurally-generated enemy boss ship. Beat Hazard 2 adds per song leaderboards so you can compete against your friends on their favorite songs as well as yours.
