Samsung’s portable 500GB SSD is now 20% off

If you need to bring your files out with you, then obviously external hard drives would be the way to go. Depending on your needs, sometimes these external drives can be a bit slow in transferring files, especially if they’re based on regular HDDs. This is where SSDs come in handy, but we get it, SSDs can be expensive.

The good news is that Amazon is currently running a deal for the Samsung Portable SSD T5 with 500GB of storage. The device would be typically priced at $110, but it is now enjoying a 20% discount where you’ll be able to save yourself $22 bucks in the process. The T5 offers read speeds of up to 540MB/s and write speeds as fast as 520MB/s.

It also supports USB-C to USB-C connections, making it ideal for more modern day laptops that might have ditched the older USB-A ports in favor of USB-C, and there will also be an option to password protect the drive if you keep sensitive files on it.
