Moment debuts universal lens mount for Android phones

The cameras on our smartphones are getting more sophisticated with every new model that is released, but they are still somewhat lacking compared to more traditional cameras. This is why there is a market for third-party lenses, but the problem with Android phone is that due to the sheer variety of designs, it would be impossible to create a one-size-fits-all solution.

The folks at Moment might have done just that as they have recently taken the wraps off their brand new M-series lens mount that is designed to fit all kinds of devices, including tablets.

This is thanks to the design of the lens mount where it utilizes a screw to keep itself secure. It will also allow it to adapt to phones of varying thickness as well as camera bumps of different heights and sizes. The mount itself will be compatible with a variety of Moment M-series lenses, which includes wide-angle, telephoto, and fisheye lenses, just to name a few.

The mount itself will be priced at $30 and is currently available for pre-order via Moment’s website. It is expected to begin shipping out to customers from the 20-25th of March, so if you’re looking to take your smartphone photography to the next level, then this could be worth taking a look at.
