August is back with a new smart lock that’s smaller than ever

0

When it comes to smart locks, August is one of the names that keeps popping up. One of the reasons why the company’s smart locks have been so popular is because they do not require users to hire a locksmith to install the lock as it simply sits over an existing deadbolt system.

If you’re shopping for a new smart lock, you might be interested in checking out August’s latest offering which comes in the form of the August Wi-Fi Smart Lock. According to the company, their latest smart lock is smaller than ever where they have reduced its volume by 45% and made it 20% slimmer when compared to the August Smart Lock Pro.

As the name implies, the lock will come with WiFi functionality integrated into it, thus removing the need for an external bridge for it to work with other smart home systems and platforms in your home. All users need to do is pair it with the August App and they will be pretty much good to go.

The August Wi-Fi Smart Lock will carry the tradition as the previous smart locks by August, where they can be easily installed on top of your current deadbolt system. There is currently no mention of how much the smart lock will cost, but it will be released later this year.
