Smart Reply is not a new feature by any stretch of the imagination, as it has been available through Inbox by Gmail for some time. However, what is new is Google has announced that Smart Reply will FINALLY be making its way to the Gmail app for Android at Google I/O 2017.
The way that it works is actually pretty intuitive, meaning that whenever you receive an email, you’ll be presented with 3 different options to quickly reply. As mentioned previously, this has been available for some time via Inbox, but was also migrated to Allo for easy replies when chatting with your friends and family.
Unfortunately, Google hasn’t shared whether Smart Reply will be coming to the desktop, so we’ll be waiting to hear more on that front. Let us know what you think about this new feature and whether you’ll be taking advantage of it.
