You might be able to buy the HTC U 11 as soon as May 19th

HTC is set to reveal the U 11 tomorrow, but recent rumors are trying to expose all the information they can before HTC has a chance to do so. One of those details is a supposed release date of May 19th.

It’s said that’s the date it’ll go on sale in Taiwan, at least, so we’re not sure if that’ll apply to any other markets. In any case, it’ll cost around $659 in HTC’s own country. Similar numbers in the western markets would be sure to please.

Along with that, we’re hearing that 3D audio is making its return on the HTC U 11 thanks to the use of 4 microphones. This isn’t all that surprising considering the HTC U Play and Ultra had the same feature, however it is more notable as the HTC U 11 might come with 360-degree video recording capabilities, so it could be put to even better use here.

The disappointing angle would be that the teaser we’re basing that information on could very well be referring to the audio recording capabilities and not necessarily video. Such is the life of a rumor chaser.

Thankfully we won’t have too long to wrestle with our torment, so circle back tomorrow to see what’s what.
