T-Mobile’s Galaxy S8 receives the red tint software fix

0

Last week, Samsung started rolling out a software fix for owners of the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus who were experiencing a red tint on their displays. The update started rolling out in Samsung’s home country of South Korea, before moving to the UK.

Now, owners of the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus on T-Mobile have reportedly started seeing the update arrive on their devices. The update doesn’t automatically fix the red tint issues, but instead adds a new Settings option called “Screen Edge Color Balance”.

Once added, you can adjust the color balance of your display, which will allow you to remove the red tint yourself. After the settings have been adjusted, you should see an improvement on your display, but there are no guarantees.

If you have received the update and the red tint on your display is gone, give us a heads up in the comments below.
