The Galaxy S8 is surprisingly more solid than it would seem

The Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus may be the most anticipated devices of 2017 so far, and as is tradition, Zack from JerryRigEverything was able to get his hands on one. Zack puts the device through a series of durability tests, including a bend test, scratch test, and burn test.

The results aren’t all that surprising, until you get to the bend test. Due to the slim design that Samsung implemented, one may think that the Galaxy S8 would easily bend when put under extreme pressure. However, you would be incorrect in that train of thought.

When applying all the pressure Zack can with his hands, the Galaxy S8 barely bends. This is extremely impressive as the screen doesn’t even pop out of place, but this just goes to show how great Samsung’s build quality really is.

Keep your eyes peeled for Phandroid’s Galaxy S8 content as it’s coming soon. But in the meantime, let us know in the comments whether videos like this help you determine which smartphones to purchase.
