We’ve been hearing rumors and rumblings of Nokia Android phones for a while now, as far back as June of this year when it was suggested that Nokia could be working on two Android smartphones. Earlier this month some leaked images out of China seemed to showcase a new Nokia metal phone, but new rumors suggest that this isn’t the only phone we’ll see.

NokiaPowerUser is reporting that the Nokia D1C will come in two variants that feature different display sizes and RAM and camera configurations. The cheaper of the two is a device that will feature 2GB of RAM, a 5″ 1080p display, and a 13MP camera in the rear. The second variant and more powerful of the two features 3GB of RAM, a 5.5″ 1080p display, and a 16MP rear shooter.

The full leaked specs for the Nokia D1C are as follows:

  • 1.4 GHz Snapdragon 430 Processor
  • Adreno 505 GPU
  • 2 / 3 GB RAM
  • Android Nougat 7.0
  • 5 / 5.5-inch, 1080p display
  • 16 GB internal storage
  • 13 /16 MP Rear camera
  • 8 MP FFC

This seems to put the handset in low to mid-range territory, thanks to the Snapdragon 430. We’ll have to wait and see what HMD is cooking up for the Nokia brand, but it’s looking interesting to see the Nokia name return to smartphones in 2017.
