Huawei is planning to shake things up a bit with the Huawei Mate 9 and we are getting more information by the day. The latest round of rumors show that the Mate 9 will include 3 different configurations including one that gives the Mate 9 6GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
Huawei Mate 9 rumored specs:
- 5.9-inch QHD Display
- Kirin 960 Processor
- 4GB/6GB RAM
- 64GB/128GB/256GB Storage
- 20MP rear camera
- 4,000mAh battery
- Android 7.0 Nougat
The different configurations will be for 4GB RAM/64GB storage, 4GB RAM/128GB storage, and 6GB RAM and 256GB storage. As for pricing, the base model Mate 9 will start at $480, the mid-range will be $580, and the mammoth configuration will be priced at $700. Additionally, each configuration will come with a different set of color options with the all black variant only being available on the 6GB/256GB configuration.
The camera is nothing to snub your nose at as the Mate 9 is reportedly going to feature a Leica dual-camera setup similar to that found on the Huawei P9 and Huawei P9 Plus. The difference here is instead of a horizontal design, Huawei seems to be opting for a vertical alignment with the cameras and the fingerprint placed just below.
Originally, rumors suggested that Huawei was planning to release the Mate 9 sometime in December, but it seems that is no longer the case. This new rumor suggests that Huawei will unveil the device in November for the world to feast its eyes upon.
