Huawei’s Nova and Nova Plus are some of the best-looking mid-range phones out there

Huawei can be credited as one of the companies driving the market forward when it comes to the quality of entry-level and mid-range smartphones. At IFA, they’re solidifying that credit with 2 hot new devices.

The company today introduced the Nova and Nova Prime. Starting with the former, pictured above, you may notice this is the same device we likened to the Nexus 6P in terms of design. It obviously isn’t, of course, but you can’t blame us for making the comparison.

The Nova features a 5-inch 1080p display, Snapdragon 625 chipset, 3GB of RAM, 12-megapixel rear camera with an 8-megapixel front counterpart, 32GB of storage, and a 3,020mAh battery.

If you’re opting for the Nova Plus, it’s largely the same phone, but the display is stretched to 5.5 inches, the camera gets a bump to 16MP with optical image stabilization, and the bigger screen makes for a bigger 3,340mAh battery. You’ll also be getting a different design as far as the device’s backside is confirmed — you won’t be mistaking this thing for a Nexus 6P, that’s for sure.

Both the Nova and Nova Plus will be available in gold, silver, and titanium, and Huawei will make them available in as many as 50 markets starting this October. You’ll be looking to pay €399 and €429 for the Nova and Nova Plus, respectively.
