LG X5 trademark raises questions about potential new device

0

LG has a new trademark today. Filed in their home country of Korea, the trademark protects the name “LG X5.” We’re not entirely sure which category the trademark was filed under, though it’s reasonable to suggest that it’s some sort of product name, and potentially for a phone.

So, what is it? That’s the question that is tough to answer. If it’s a phone, is it the next flagship in LG’s lineup? Perhaps a spiritual successor to the LG V10? Or is it something on the lesser side of the price spectrum to appeal to the affordable crowd? Or is it the cheeky name for the other bundle of X-series devices LG will supposedly launch later this year?

It could be all of that. Then again, it could be nothing as LG has a well-documented history of throwing all their spaghetti against the wall just for the sake of doing it.
