Unlocked HTC 10 gets an update with camera and WiFi improvements

0

The unlocked HTC 10 that’s currently reaching doorsteps in the US is getting itself an early maintenance upgrade. HTC hasn’t yet formally detailed the upgrade, though they did give some hints in the changelog shown directly on the phone.

For starters, the camera is getting itself a performance enhancement. The HTC 10’s camera was already pretty good, although it’s not quite good enough to completely eclipse the Samsung Galaxy S7’s quality. Perhaps this improvement could bring the 2 closer in line, but we won’t know until we get some comparisons going.

Other things in tow include improvements to WiFi stability and the latest security upgrades as of May. It’s a pretty medium-sized patch at 394MB, so be sure to keep that in mind before you download it on your cellular data package. You should be on the lookout for it as version 1.53.617.5.
