Verizon teams up with Google to offer 2GB of bonus data for using Android Pay

0

Google is teaming up with Verizon (of all people) for a new promotion that gives customers up to 2GB of bonus data on their service plans if they use Android Pay. It’s not as straight forward as it sounds. Verizon customers will need to use Android Pay once at a supported store to get the first GB of bonus data and another 2 times (3 times total) for the second GB. Make sense?

Before you run out and start tapping your phone, there are some things you should consider. The first is that the bonus data is only good for 2 billing cycles, something that sounds like an awful lot of trouble for something so immediately temporary. Also, Verizon says the promo is only good for “postpaid consumer subscribers with The Verizon Plan or The MORE Everything Plan.”

The promotion only runs until June 14th and participants must redeem their 2GB reward by July 13th. For more, check out Verizon’s official post down below.

I've been obsessed with consumer technology for about as long as I can remember, be it video games, photography, or mobile devices. If you can plug it in, I have to own it. Preparing for the day when Android finally becomes self-aware and I get to welcome our new robot overlords.
