Google updates Google Play apps with new consistent icons

0

Google has revealed a new set of icons for all their Google Play apps. Google Play Movies and TV, Google Play Music, Google Play Books, Google Play Newsstand and Google Play Games are all getting new icons that take on the Google Play Store’s icon, which is appropriately shaped like a play button.

The logos are all consistent in overall design, but have different colors and ornaments for each service. We weren’t necessarily mad that the icons were all doing their own thing before, but it’s nice that they all seem part of one big happy family now.

Google says to expect the icons to start showing up in apps and on the web throughout this week.
