While we’ve heard a little bit about the Xiaomi Mi 5 until now — with even vice president Hugo Barro teasing us a bit — there are more details to be had today. GizmoChina has revealed new evidence that gives us a pretty good idea of what to expect under the hood.
For starters, we now know that the rumored 5.2-inch display might actually be 5.15 inches. Not a huge different, of course. More noteworthy about said display is that it supposedly won’t have UHD resolution, and that Xiaomi has chosen to stick with 1080p. Another discrepancy compared to past rumors is a 2,910mAh battery opposed to the ridiculous 3,600mAh pack we thought it’d have.
Beyond that, though, everything else sounds about right, with other specs including a Snapdragon 820 chipset, USB Type-C, a fingerprint scanner, NFC, a 16MP camera with OIS and laser focus and a 4MP UltraPixel camera for the front. Xiaomi’s planning to launch this thing February 24th so be sure to stay tuned for the fully unveil if it sounds like your cup of tea.
