Periscope and Twitter have announced the next natural evolution for the two platforms: Periscope broadcasts can now be embedded inside Tweets. You’ll be able to tune into live broadcasts or replays right within your Twitter timeline, so you won’t have to jump between apps in order to see what all the noise is about.

It’s a subtle change, yet one Twitter feels is very important for both viewers and broadcasters. Broadcasters get the benefit of having potentially more eyes swarm to their profile due to standing out more and having their Tweets retweeted, and users will have a much more clear indication that a live broadcast is going on when they’re quickly scrolling through their timelines.
So, here’s the bad news — Android gets the shaft to start. Again. What’s crazier is that even web users have to wait, as Periscope has announced that this is an iOS-only affair in the early days. That said, they’re hard at work on bringing support for Android and the web, and they say they’re darndest to bring it out as soon as they can.
In the meantime, why not follow us on Periscope (@phandroid) to be notified when we go live with new stuff? There was a lot of crazy and funny stuff going on during CES last week and you won’t want to miss the cool streams we’re doing in the future!
