This $80 wallet can charge your smartphone

We’d normally consider $80 for a wallet quite expensive, but this particular option by Nomad is worth at least considering. This wallet prides itself on having a thin, sleek profile just as any other wallet, while neatly integrating a 2,400mAh battery and an integrated charging cable to charge your phone.

Made out of genuine leather, the wallet is said to be no thicker than what you’re probably carrying right now, and that’s when it’s loaded up with dozens of cards and bills. You can stick it into your pocket and hook it up to your phone to have it seamlessly charge without an issue.

But that’s what you’re paying for — convenience. You can get portable battery packs with a much bigger capacity for far less than $80 on Amazon if you’re in need of one. The only downside is they probably won’t fit inside your wallet.

And there’s one unfortunate catch for those of us using Android — they’re initially only planning to support the iPhone. A model with a microUSB cable is in the works, but it’s not yet available for pre-order. Would you buy one of these? Let us know in the comments ahead.
