DROID Turbo 2 and DROID MAXX 2 forums are open!
Today, Verizon and Motorola will be announcing the latest additions to the long line of DROIDs. We’re live at the event in New York, where we expect to see the Motorola DROID Turbo 2 and Motorola DROID MAXX 2. It has been almost exactly a year since the original Motorola DROID Turbo was released, and over two years since we saw the Motorola DROID MAXX.
The Turbo 2 is expected to have a 5.4-inch “shatterproof” display. Verizon has already teased this feature in a short video clip on Twitter. Speculation suggests that the display is actually made of plastic. Other rumored specs for this phone include a 21MP camera, Snapdragon 808 processor, 3GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage, and a beefy 3,700mAh battery. It will be available in MotoMaker with over 1,000 color combinations.
The MAXX 2 is said to be a variant of the Motorola Moto X Play. It is rumored to have a 5.5-inch 1080p display, 21MP camera, 2GB of RAM, Snapdragon 615 processor, and 3,630mAh battery. The specs aren’t quite up to par with the Turbo 2, but that’s not what this phone is trying to be. The MAXX 2 will be a nice budget-friendly option for people who don’t want to sacrifice camera performance and battery life. Plus, it should have all the durability features of the Moto X Play.
