Verizon and Motorola schedule Droid event for October 27th, Turbo 2 and Maxx 2 expected

0

It’s official: Verizon and Motorola are gearing up to announce a new round of Droid devices and according to the invite we received, the festivities will take place on October 27th in New York. Rumors point to the Motorola Droid Turbo 2 and the Motorola Droid Maxx 2 being unveiled, which makes sense given the invite specifically mentions “Droids” (plural).

While the Motorola Maxx 2 is said to be a variant of the Motorola Moto X Play (with the same affordable pricing), the Motorola Droid Turbo 2 is an entirely new device we haven’t seen yet from Motorola. Word on the street is it could launch elsewhere as the Motorola Moto X Force, but here in the states Verizon has the exclusive.

Those of you on Big Red who’ve been holding out on a new smartphone may want to take notice. The Motorola Droid Turbo 2 is looking like a beastly device, with a beefy 3,760mAh battery, “shatterproof” display, and other top of the line specs. Of course, we’ll be on hand for the event bringing you the latest. Consider us hyped.
