Nexus 5X factory images for Android 6.0 now available from Google

Developers who were lucky enough to get their hands on a Nexus 5X this week will be happy to know that Google has posted the Android 6.0 Marshmallow factory images for the phone online. Most people won’t be using these factory images to get loaded up on Marshmallow — the phone ships with it, of course — but they’re an important safeguard for developers who like to tinker with their devices.

Should the device become soft-bricked these will get you going on a fresh installation as if it were hot off the factory presses. Google has download links and instructions at their developer website here, so be sure to go over there and download it if you think you’ll need it in the future.
