Motorola has just announced that pre-sales for the Moto X Pure Edition will begin in the US starting September 2nd! As you may already know, the Moto X Pure Edition is a variant of the Moto X Style specifically meant for US users.
It features the same high-tier specs, including a 5.7-inch 2560 x 1440 display, 21MP camera, 3GB of RAM and a Snapdragon 808 chipset, but this one model works for all of the United States’ major US carriers. You can buy it and use it on Verizon, Sprint, AT&T or T-Mobile with no fuss. It comes straight from Motorola, so updates are handled by them. This also means you can get it far cheaper than a typical high-end phone would cost you off-contract — this is a $400 package that might have been upwards of $600 if the carriers had a say in pricing.
Unfortunately we still don’t know what day we can expect the Moto X Pure Edition to land, but if you want to pre-order one regardless then be sure to keep your eyes on the Moto Maker September 3rd when it goes live. Be sure to check out our hands-on of the Moto X Style / Moto X Pure Edition in the meantime.
