Samsung has announced that the Blue Topaz and Green Emerald options for the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge are now officially available. There’s a catch here, though — the Blue Topaz option is exclusive to the Samsung Galaxy S6, while the Green Emerald is an S6 Edge-specific color.

With this, Samsung has jumped on the train of explaining what each color option says about the individuals who choose them. People who opt for Samsung’s Blue Topaz Galaxy S6 are likely to be more self-confident, fastidious, discriminating, sensitive, exacting, and intuitive,” said a British psychologist. The Green Emerald Galaxy S6 Edge users “tend to be balanced, loyal, hard-working, honest, benevolent and concerned for others.”

Whether you believe any of that or your color choice simply comes down to taste is up to you to decide. Aside from all that, they’re the same devices you’ve been able to buy since they were available April 10th (read our Samsung Galaxy S6 review if you’re curious), only now in new colors. Exact availability will differ by region and carrier so be sure to stay tuned to your preferred carrier’s announcements for details on their arrival if you want one of these.

The "Google Phone" sounded too awesome to pass up, so I bought a G1. The rest is history. And yes, I know my name isn't Wilson.

  1. that blue one….that is a beaut for sure. I wont buy this phone because of the screen size but I am hoping they do this on the Note 5.

    1. Yup… The Note5 is starting to look really promising to me. Samsung has proven they can finally kill the lagware/bloat issues, and improve the build quality.

      1. completely agree. I have not looked at a Sammy device since the S3. After playing with the S6 at Best Buy, I think its proven to me too that TW is not as bad as its once been. I hope they throw in the S-Pen =)

  2. Sounds like a similar difference as a kid between if you would make a Blue or Green lightsaber. I like that Samsung made this little color option between the two models.

That said, I’m not interested in the more expensive gimmicky Edge even though it’s quite sexy. I’ll be in the market for either a Blue or Black regular GS6 once my company approves to buy me one.

  3. Both are sweet. Marketing tactic to keep interest in a phone “oh the new color, newer than your black/white/gold s6, it just came out OMG”. I like the green best but dont want to pay for the edge gimmick considering I already need to pay 50% more to get the 64 gig or 100% more to get the 128 gig of the standard s6. Not doing anything til I get hands on the G4 and S6 active. By that point might wait for Note 5, New nexus devices, and considering iphone 7 if its actually going ot have optical zoom and im already settling for no removable battery/no sd card on the s6. Hmmm…my s4 is looking better and better now that it has lollipop, multiple spare batteries, and a 15$ monthly discount on verizon since my 2 year contract is up. Currently paying 62/month for 3gig of data unlimited everything else for the best coverage in America. Not bad.

    1. if the renders are accurate on the iPhone 7, I think i’m with you on considering it. Glad i’m not the only one on the page you are on above.

    2. Forgot to mention, by time I wait for fall phones to drop (nexus, note 5, moto x gen 3, iphone 7), the s6’s will be heavily discounted…something to consider…And we all know the Holiday sales that happen in Nov/Dec on sammy devices, often 99 bucks or 1 dollar on amazon.

    3. That is expensive. You must really be getting ripped off.

  4. man, that blue really matches to my car!

    1. Me too! I have a blue Hyundai Veloster.

  5. Nice color options indeed…

  6. Is the Topaz Blue available with all of T-mobile’s LTE bands??? Link for purchase, with a US price?

  7. I would’ve loved a green one on T-Mobile, but white works too.

  8. “Green Emerald”… isn’t that redundant?

    1. To the enlightened, yes. Remember however, the world is full of retards.
