I’m not sure what it is that I like so much, but I find they are often the perfect back-drop for icons.

These remind me of those 3D Hidden Pictures (Stereograms) from the 90’s. Actually looked deep into them to see if they were. Alas they are just flat images…
Why are some of these pixelated at full resolution?
I hate to ruin the author’s excitement and discovery about repeating patterns but ‘real wallpaper’ (you know, the kind that is on the kitchen walls at your grandma’s house) is just a bunch of repeating patterns.
