What is the Motorola Victara for Verizon?

11

motorola victara

A new Motorola phone seems to have been leaked for release on Verizon. A product guide for an accessory for the device is calling it the “Motorola Victara,” though we don’t learn much about the device itself (because, you know, it’s meant to sell the case).

At first glance we can tell it most likely isn’t going to be a “blow your mind” device. The lack of an LED flash and the compact-looking frame all scream entry-level. The device does curiously have what appear to be dual stereo speakers on the front which is something we haven’t really seen Motorola do before.

We’re not sure if this is to be considered a variant of the Moto G 4G LTE or something entirely different, but whatever it is we assume it will go just as easy on your pockets. Let’s hope we hear more in due time.

The "Google Phone" sounded too awesome to pass up, so I bought a G1. The rest is history. And yes, I know my name isn't Wilson.

Next version of Android (Lollipop?) to be revealed tomorrow at Google I/O

  1. Looks like the “Moto X+1” pic from yesterday.

    1. Thats what everyone claimed it was… but there is no way

  2. doesnt have flash either!

Am I missing something? The Moto E has dual front facing speakers.

    1. In English, the phrase “haven’t really seen” means it’s something that hasn’t been seen often. I know it’s worded as if it’s never been seen before. I know, it’s very confusing.

      Welcome to English.

      1. I understand english, but seeing as the moto e was motorola’s most recent phone it doesn’t make sense. If they made a phone with front facing speakers a while back then that makes sense, but not in this situation

    2. Chalk up another vote for it being a Moto E. So far it hasn’t been available on Verizon so I imagine they want a special version to offer, Verizon loves it’s exclusive devices.

  4. Why are you guys playing dumb on this? It’s clearly a Moto E.

  5. Thought I saw earlier posts (another site?) that the X+1 was code named “Victara”?…

  6. Moto E 4G?

    1. That would be the one thing that would make a Verizon exclusive worth any look. Of course they are selling the Moto G almost as cheap as everyone else is selling the E.
