Refurbished Nexus 7 2013 hits eBay for just $150 [DEAL]

If you’ve been looking for the perfect time to score a steal on the 2013 Nexus 7, this is it. Newegg on eBay has refurbished units of the tablet for just $150, which is a pretty decent discount of $80 off MSRP. That does come with the caveat of it being refurbished, but that doesn’t mean much in my experience. One could argue that the cost is worth the risk considering:

  1. Refurbished doesn’t always mean it was previously broken. It could be from a return that someone simply didn’t want.
  2. Even if a refurbished device was damaged in its past, the repairs typically make it more reliable due to improved assembly processes.

Convinced? It might not be the newest kid on the block (we’re expecting a refresh or an 8-inch replacement at Google I/O this year), but it is certainly still one viable piece of tech if you’re in the market for a smallish tablet. Head here if you’re in for one.

The "Google Phone" sounded too awesome to pass up, so I bought a G1. The rest is history. And yes, I know my name isn't Wilson.

  1. I’m sorry but I would never pick up a 7in tablet… way too smal IMHO.

    1. Not really, fits perfectly on my dash in my car for a navigation and media system

      1. I can see its use there… but I couldnt make it an everyday tablet. Its gotta be 8.9in and larger for me…(that was such a “thats what she said” moment)

        1. Nook HD+ is a 9″ with a great screen and a smokin’ good price… rooted with Kit Kat — perfect size imo.

      2. Are you using Google offline maps, or something else?

    2. I guess if you have a phablet that would be understandable, but I enjoy it’s pocketable size, even with my N5 as my main device. As the article says, it’s probably too late in the game to pick this up.

    3. Hoping they take the nexus 7 shrink the top bottom bezels and make it 7.5-7.9 inches

    4. I had a 10″ tablet and now that I have a N7, I wouldn’t consider going back to a 10″ tablet unless I was able to fully replace my laptop with it.

      1. Replaced my 10″ Xoom with 9″ Nook HD+ (rooted / Kit Kat) … really is the sweet spot size for me. Had high hopes for 8.9″ Nexus but it seems like it’s going to be 8″.

    5. Perfect size for some people, like myself, who like something that can actually fit into a pocket.

  2. PSA: Only consider picking it up IF you have a full 1 year warranty. 90-day warranties are way too risky with Nexus products.

  3. wait until closer to the end of summer when N8 comes out….these will drop to 100usd

  4. I love the 7″ tablet. I think it’s ideal because it fits into most back pockets making it easy for most guys to carry it around. I don’t do the man purse thing so having the larger sized Tablet is out of the question as I would hope to have my tablet with me more often than not.

  5. Good deal until you realize it crashes all of the time. I like my Nexus 7, but I hate the fact that at least three times a day it just stops, crashes, and reboots. Better than my old one that crashed, was incredibly slow, and lost touch sensitivity.

    1. I have the old nexus it never crashes or loses sensitivity go troll some where else

    2. I have a 2012 (nearly two years old) and a 2013 model. Both are used daily, heavily. Neither of them has issues with crashes or reboots or any of the other issues you seem to be having..
