Latest Samsung Galaxy Tab / Note Pro ad takes fire at all tablets [VIDEO]

18

Samsung’s not one to shy away from bold claims and brash marketing, and with their exciting 2014 portfolio launch underway they aren’t looking to deviate from the plan. Last time Samsung had something to say about their tablets, they went after Apple, and only Apple.

But things have evolved. They’re out for everyone’s throats now, with the company ridiculing the likes of the Amazon Kindle Fire, the Microsoft Surface, and, well, the iPad. From iPad Air’s ‘retina thingie” to the Surface’s aspirations of being a makeshift laptop, Samsung had no trouble finding a way to make the competition look silly.

Of course, they don’t need an ad for us techies to know their Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro and Note Pro tablets are absolute beasts. But it’s what they’ll have to do in order to convince your average consumer that the tablets are worth spending big bucks for. The video is about a minute long, and you can find it above in case you’re in need of a laugh or two to start your Thursday. Let us know what you think of it!

  1. Can’t argue with most the comparisons, but the kickstand, keyboard covers & mouse support on the Surface are pretty nice features, and you don’t have to use them. If I was in the market for a “pro” tablet I’d probably go Surface over this (though currently happy with my Nexus 7 + windows laptop combo).

    1. Yeah, I thought the same thing. “More, optional features are bad!” That sounds like something an apple enthusiast would claim about Android.
And while I’d never want a kindle fire, it can clearly do more than books.
Overall, nothing here to change my opinion of Samsung.
Still giggled at the “retina thingy” comment, though.

      1. From a considered perspective you can see how effect their marketing is. They’re not blatant lies. They just focusing on their strengths which is basic marketing. I do like the Surface Pro tablets as a “serious” business tablet.

        1. Exactly. The reason sammy is so succesful is that they can backup their ad’s with their hardware. And as Sharky mentioned, they are legit comparisons for the most part. People are not stupid, and when they see the practical features of the galaxy it’s a no brainer. What other company brings as much to the table? None. That’s why you dont see ads like sammys cause they can’t.

          1. That’s a very reasonable view. Your spot on with how they present the practicality of some of their product’s features. Simple and easy to understand but more importantly easy for many consumers to see how they would use the product.

  2. “Mine’s got the Retina thingy”

    1. Her reaction was just as funny to me. “Aw, that’s cute..”

  3. Samsung ads make me cringe; they’re awful

They need to fire their marketing agency immediately

    1. lol you wish. their ad agencies been getting a sh*t ton of awards and accolade over the last few years.

    2. You should look at HTC’s marketing strategies…

      1. lol

  4. Lol shots fired!

  5. It’s funny how they dissed the surface but you don’t really need the keyboard and it also does the side by side windows.

    1. I like that keyboard. Does the Pro come with it or is it a separate purchase? Swype has ruined me for typing on any mobile device. Paired with a stylus it’s heaven.

      1. It’s sold separately. They make two different keyboards for it. There’s a touch keyboard that doesn’t have any actual keys and a type keyboard with keys.

  6. The perfect advert would be a of a battery being replaced by a newly charged battery and the depleted battery about to get itself charged in an external charger…. Ideally it would be a Samsung Ad about a Galaxy Note tablet…. Now that would be a perfect Ad to let all the sensible people know that Samsung Actually Cares about the customer and the life span of their product….then the world will stop laughing at Samsung

  7. so samsung what about nexus tablets?

    1. I dont think Samsung would want to take on Google’s baby. That is just suicide
