Now that the Moto X is out of the way, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 with draw the attention of Android fans everywhere as we hope for a phone that lives up to the hype of its predecessors. A new reports says we won’t have to wait long. Samsung is apparently preparing a big launch event for September 4th to showcase not only the latest in their line of high-end phablets but also a smart watch device.
This would throw the Galaxy Note 3 into a crowded period of smartphone releases, including the Moto X, Motorola and Verizon’s redressed Droids, and the imminent launch of the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C. The smart watch, on the other hand, would be a different beast entirely.
Chances are if they launch side-by-side, Samsung will be touting some sort of symbiotic relationship between the two. Other rumors floating around about the Galaxy Note 3 include the presence of a 5.7-inch 1080p display and 13MP camera. The Note 3 is also expected to launch (in some markets, at least) with Samsung’s latest generation Exynos processor.

If it doesn’t come in chartreuse with fuchsia accents I’m gonna pass. This is by far the best device release of the year but if I can’t have it in this color combo, I guess I’ll go with a generic iphone running Android. I hear they are pretty nice!….JK!!! LOL!!!….. {^g^}…..

Well, if I sign another 2 year contract (which I was hoping to avoid) this will probably be my next phone!
I’ve seen the Note 2 and really didn’t want a bigger screen. It was going to be S4 or Note 3 and it looks like i’ll stick with the S4.

I’m with you on that. I do not tend to ruin phones much, but having that added security would be nice. If Sony can do it and Sammy did it with the S4 Active, I don’t see why Sammy can’t do it again with the GN3.
Except it’s supposedly not very water resistant…

I totally am in love with my Note 2, but once they date drop, I will be selling it and using that money to buy the Note 3. I know I can get at least $150 off the N2.
Already sold mine, to get a bit more out of it than I likely would have if I sold closer to release date. People will be expecting the Note2 to be lower than you can get right now. I CL’d it for 500 flat~

HTC One. Rooted running android revolution HD. Its pretty solid. Based on international stock ROM. Honestly I’ve never been so happy with a phone. Still gonna get the Note3 though. After a while with the Note2 I missed being able to do things with one hand. Now I miss the huge screen. If I had to have only one though… It would probably be the One.

I’m only getting this because HTC and Sony failed to develop a multitasking split-screen solution that would make the best out of the screen real estate. Such a shame.

Disappointed it won’t have a flexable screen. Just a stretched out faster S4.
Coming to Verizon, June 2014. With android 4.2.2. With encrypted bootloaders. And possibly one update to 4.3, and Verizon will act like it was a miracle. While android 5.1 is then-current.
Phone? These are phablets, not “phones” or even “smartphones” Phablets are hand held computers and do more than make “phone” calls.
