Fancy yourself a bit of a klutz? Does the fact make you a bit weary to drop a couple hundred bucks on a high-end smartphone? Well, there’s always an Otterbox case, or you could snag the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active, which is now up for pre-order from AT&T. The handset features a majority of the same specs as its namesake, but wraps them in a package that is ready to withstand the rigors of the brutal world.
The casing gets a bit thicker to accommodate the IP67 rating — which means the phone is waterproof in one meter of liquid for up to 30 minutes — but you still get a Snapdragon 600 CPIU clocked at 1.9GHz, 2GB RAM, and a 5-inch 1080p display (though its TFT LCD rather than Super AMOLED). The 8MP camera is also a drop from the 13MP of the standard Galaxy S4, but it comes with the added bonus of being able to snap some quick underwater shots. The Galaxy S4 Active ships with Android 4.2 out of the box.
Pre-orders start at $199.99 with contract for a 16GB model (the only model currently offered), or the phone can be purchased outright for $549.99.

The back outfit of sgs4 active + the front of regular sgs4 is a better combination design, no need for aluminum unibody frame. Waiting for it on their next flagship phones ( probably sgs5?).
Will Sprint have it?
it’s $594.99 not $549.99
