Who doesn’t love some good Chat Heads? I know I do. It’s one of the main reasons I’ve kept Facebook Messenger running on my phone, using it to intercept SMS messages and toss around my contacts from side-to-side. Today, Messenger was updated with even better functionality — STICKERS.
Yes, as if the currently supplied emoticons/emoji’s weren’t enough, users can now place huge stickers of cats, aliens, tigers, and I’m sure many more cutesy characters in the near future. Downloading sticker packs are easy via Facebook’s “Sticker Store,” and we can’t help but draw similarities to Path who went down the same road in their app overhaul not too long ago. Either way, stickers are fun so get out there and start sending ’em!

I wish they’d fix the ability to be able to completely stop location polling. Kills battery in turn making the app unusable. Instead the put stickers into the messenger app? The f*** they think they are the new MSN Messenger? I grew out of that crap years ago.
I can’t seem to figure out how to access these stickers? I am not seeing it anywhere
I’m having this issue as well. That icon next to the gps button is not showing even though I got the update. I wonder if n4 is not compatible?

This isn’t exactly accurate…they haven’t really rolled out the stickers, they’re just a hidden function. It’s odd you didn’t include how to access them, but felt the need to write an article about them anyway.
This is what passes for new features these days. Just one more indication that I was born in the wrong era.
Hey, at least these show up in a decent size as opposed to the minuscule emojis/emoticons that aren’t even consistent with how they appear on the actual web…
I was able to use it once then the little smiley face to access them disappeared and hasn’t come back since. =(

The stickers can only be accessed in “Chat Heads” mode.
It’s only then will you be able to tap the small, empty space just to the left of the ‘+’ sign (in the bottom left corner) to access the hidden sticker menu.
