Dark Horse comics come to Google Play Books

5

Google has just added an extensive library of comics to Google Play Books. Over 400 editions of comics from the Dark Horse collection are available for download, with popular titles such as Hellboy, Star Wars, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, the Goon and more all ready for your viewing pleasure. To commemorate the launch, Google is offering all First in Series volumes for just $3.99 per set. Now would be as good a time as any to bring your collection to your device in digital form as it won’t cost you an arm and a leg to do so. View the full collection here, available in every country where Google Play Books are sold.

The "Google Phone" sounded too awesome to pass up, so I bought a G1. The rest is history. And yes, I know my name isn't Wilson.

  1. Already bought Buffy and Hellboy. Hopefully they’ll add Dollhouse soon, and I’d really love to see them add Top Cow’s comics library very soon, because all my favorite comic titles are Top Cow – Witchblade, The Darkness, Tomb Raider, Impaler…

  2. Mass Effect but no Dragon Age? :(

  3. It’s a great reason to have a tablet. Unfortunately, it does seem to kill the comic collectibles market.

    1. #1 issues and actual collectable items are still pretty big and the collectors are pretty loyal to the medium. People just aren’t buying anthologies and random copies of stuff as much.

  4. Pretty good sale, especially Sin City Vol#1. Purchased that, Lobster Johnson and Abe Sapien.

I wonder what this means for their stand alone app.
