Samsung Galaxy Pop makes me want a bowl of orange sherbert

11

Samsung has created a phone so orange that it makes me want a bowl of ice cream. It’s the Samsung Galaxy Pop, and it certainly does “pop” with its bright orange armor. Intended for Korean markets, the Galaxy Pop is a 4.65 inch device that is essentially a reskinned Galaxy Premier with its 1.4GHz quad-core processor, an 8 megapixel camera on the back with a 2 megapixel sensor up front, Android 4.1, 4G LTE and more.

The device will have a limited launch for anyone on carriers SK Telekom, LG U+ and KT. Samsung’s banking on capturing the interests of young folks with this color, but we’re not exactly sure eye-bleeding orange is the hip color these days. Now all I’m wondering is where I can find Samsung-branded oranges…

The "Google Phone" sounded too awesome to pass up, so I bought a G1. The rest is history. And yes, I know my name isn't Wilson.

  2. It’s sherbet, not sherbert.

    1. It’s spelled both ways, although the original term is sorbet, but for Americans they are two different things.

      1. sorbets are made without milk products

sherbet is like sorbet but is made with cream.

  3. I call it sherbert too but my wife says sherbet, but she is correct it’s sherbet. http://grammarist.com/spelling/sherbet-sherbert/

    1. Many companies market theirs using “sherbert,” as well. It’s acceptable to use both (as neither of them look anything like the actual word they’re based on anyway).

  4. Orange vs Apple…who would have thought? LOL!!

  5. Or a yellow version called the “Samsung Galaxy Urination” :-D

  6. I’m fairly certain everything in that photo is made of plastic.
