Good news for those of you looking to do some serious multitasking on the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 for AT&T. After rolling out last week for T-Mobile, it looks like AT&T users can finally get in on the fun with the #2 largest wireless provider in the US announcing plans to begin rolling out the Multi-Window update to users starting tomorrow. AT&T’s official statement to Engadget reads:
AT&T plans to begin rolling out a software update for Samsung Galaxy Note II customers that includes the Multi-Window feature, which allows the user to divide the screen into two active “windows” creating a split screen that enables fluid multitasking between applications. The update will be available for download over the air beginning Dec. 27.
This is the same update the rest of the globe has been enjoying for a few weeks now and dramatically enhances the multitasking capabilities of the device. Now when can we expect the same for the Samsung Galaxy S3? (Bats eyelashes).

That you got one update before at&t? I have a note ii on at&t and not having that wouldn’t want me to switch. I would never see another update look at the nexus its still running 4.1.1 and it’s a Google device

i just got my note 2 two days ago when i found out that i could not do multitasking on it i was thinking of returning it to AT&t because my brother has the same phone from Spring and his phone has multitasking he was making fun of me these is the best news i can get tomorrow a can download the new software and stop my brother from making fun of me thanks for the good news

I just checked again and got a message stating that my software is up to date and I am to check again in 19 hours and 41 minutes. Really? !
Just turned your clock manually forward. I just installed it and noticed it screwed with my mms. Custom pictures are now super dark and screen gets super laggy! Why did they even mess with mms? Anyway to remove update? Multi windows is gimmicky anyway
so much for this “scoop”…still no multitasking on AT&T Note 2s on 1/22/13. Ridiculous!
