Call of Duty Elite for Android updated with Black Ops 2 support

12

In case you haven’t heard (or have been in a bomb shelter for the past year or so) Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 was released worldwide yesterday, and if you forgot that there is an official Call of Duty Elite app for Android then you might want to go redownload it. The app has been updated to include support for Black Ops 2, and a whole new slew of features are awaiting you.

For starters, you’ll get a full stat tracker like you did with Modern Warfare 3. You’ll be able to view your career summary, view stats from recent matches, edit your classes and check your progress in challenges. That, we expected.

What’s new in the Elite app for Black Ops 2 is the ability to join and manage clans, and access Call of Duty Elite TV to check out live streams of in-progress matches, video walkthroughs and more.

Activision made all of this free back in mid-October so you won’t have to shell out another $50 for premium features. Elite Founder Status members don’t get anything special here, either, but if you bought Black Ops 2 then you can find your Founder emblems under the Barracks section of the multiplayer menu within the game itself. It’s not a bad app to have sitting on your phone at all so be sure to grab it from the Google Play Store if you’re still into the multiplayer craze that is Call of Duty.

The "Google Phone" sounded too awesome to pass up, so I bought a G1. The rest is history. And yes, I know my name isn't Wilson.

  1. guess i was in a bomb shelter lol

    1. You and me both. lol

  2. How many people actually pay for Elite?

    1. It’s worth it if you plan on buying all the DLC because it actually comes out cheaper. I still have mine til the end of the month from getting the hardened edition of MW3. And I think they are extending it out an extra 3 months or so because of all the problems they had at the beginning.

      1. Xbox?

        1. Actually, now that I think about it, I think I’m mixing up the DLC packs with the paid Elite. I think the DLC stuff is a totally separate thing.

    2. I did. worst mistake I’ve made.

  3. I passed on the previous two Call of Duty games(only played their campaign). But I did get Black Ops 2 and I’ve been enjoying it. I got it for 360 so if anyone wants to add me my GT is Massacre386. I’m on PSN too as OtisFeelgood.

  4. I like to think I’m a rather smart individual, but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get to the Elite TV. My screen doesn’t look like the screenshots above, but I do have all my data from Black Ops 2, which I didn’t have yesterday. I even deleted and reinstalled. Am I missing something obvious?

Edit: Closed the app and went back in again and it allowed me to swipe left and right finally. I was starting to think I was an idiot.

  5. Good app. The only thing missing is the ability to see your friends stats.
