While the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 has already gotten its Ice Cream Sandwich update, owners of the Tab 8.9 were still waiting for theirs. The wait appears to be over, however, as we’re receiving reports that it’s now being pushed out to users over-the-air. It’s a 313MB update, and it comes with an improved Touchwiz experience and it will bring all the goods that came with Ice Cream Sandwich. The “About Tablet” menu under settings should get you started, but if you’re not down with doing this over-the-air then you can also do it through Samsung Kies. Let us know if it finds you OK. [Thanks Michael!]
My wife will like this!
Does the 5GHz WiFi still work on this device?
Just asking because Samsung broke it on the 10.1 :-(
I really hope that the LTE version gets ICS soon! I might just keep it if it does.
I didn’t get an over the air update for my 10.1 WiFi. Do I need to do something to get it?
I had to update my 10.1 via Kies :-(
Great, now if only I hadn’t lost my GTab 8.9, I’d be set.
I am using it now and its like night and day :-) there is a force close bug but someone on xda already fixed it. ROLL ON THE MODS.
Hi,
When are we going to get the ICS update for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 3G & WIFI P7500 going to be released in South Africa?
