ASUS Transformer Pad Infinity with LTE coming to Germany

4

The Nexus 7 may be the hottest Android tablet right now, but those looking for an extra punch are looking towards devices like the ASUS Transformer Pad Infinity (TF700T). Sadly, many of us want data-enabled tablets, making options much more limited. Well, the latest announcement from Vodafone Germany may bring a bit of hope to all of us.

ASUS will be bringing an LTE-enabled version of the ASUS Transformer Pad Infinity for German Vodafone customers. The tablet (TF700KL) will hit Deutschland with a €819.90 price tag (about $1026 USD), but it is discounted to €169.90 ($213) after signing a contract.

Not the most affordable device out there, but those looking for a high-end 10-inch tablet that is LTE-connected can now enjoy one of the best tabbies around. It will definitely not disappoint, carrying at least a 1.5 GHz Tegra 3 quad-core processor, 1 GB of RAM, Android 4.0 (should get Android 4.1 soon enough) and a stunning 1920×1200 Super IPS+ display.

Definitely not a bad tablet, but is it worth over $1000 USD, or sticking with it for years? Maybe, maybe not – but I sure wouldn’t mind if it came to the US (hopefully at a lower price).

  1. Tegra 3 doesn’t work with LTE if I’m not mistaken. It will probably have a qualcomm duel core.

    1. Tegra 3 chips with LTE support are coming… It could have another processor, or it could have a new Tegra 3 chip.

  2. They had me until the 1Gb of RAM. Not nearly enough. Would have expected 2 or 3 Gb of RAM.

  3. I’ll wait until November to see if I’ll get this or the Ipad 3
