HTC Vertex HD tablet in the works?

3

Yesterday we were discussing how HTC would be bringing a new tablet to the UK despite no rumors of a new tablet to be found. Welp, here’s that rumor we were looking for: HTC could soon be coming to market with one HTC Vertex HD. It’s said to be an Android 4.0+ tablet that will feature NVIDIA’s Tegra 3 processor and a 1280×752 display.

That resolution doesn’t do much to help us narrow the unknown display size, but it could be anywhere between 7 and 10 inches. HTC only released two Android tablets to date.

Their lack of focus on the market may have been indication that they were finding it hard to compete, but if this benchmark listing is anything to go by it looks like they may be ready to jump back into the fold.

The "Google Phone" sounded too awesome to pass up, so I bought a G1. The rest is history. And yes, I know my name isn't Wilson.

  1. I said it before and I’ll say it again, Android tabs aren’t exciting anymore… I check on every Android phone coming out but the Tab market is very saturated. Not enough supported tabs app either.

  2. HTC flyer fail. Nexus 7 win!

  3. HTC I owned first the HTC View 4G Tablet and now the HTC Jetstream Tablet and you dropped them both like a hot potato. You should update the OS on these tablets that aren’t even a year old. If you want to enter the tablet market you better do right by your customers.
