14

The Motorola DROID Bionic for Verizon has officially received its 5.9.905 update that leaked in mid-May. It’s being rolled out via an over-the-air process, and many of you should have been notified of its arrival by now. The update provides some minor fixes and enhancements, one of which includes improved 4G connectivity. If you can’t seem to pull it down and don’t want to wait, be sure to grab the update file here. You’ll need to be on stock, unrooted build 5.9.902 to apply it. [via Droid-Life]

  2. The Bionic is a joke of a phone…I’m sorry but I have not seen a product that was so poorly implemented to the public before.

    1. Do you actually have one? I love mine.

      1. My fiance had one…it is terrible. Constant data drops, poor battery life, almost a non-existent dev community. I had Verizon exchange it for a Rezound.

    2. What’s wrong with it?

    3. Joke? Great phone!

  3. The Bionic may have had some quirks when it first launched but the last few updates have all but straightened out the issues it once had. My brother has one and it is a great phone. The dev support isn’t too shabby either. I think the size of the Bionic is it’s best asset. I own the Rezound and the size of the Rezound is what drew me to it and all it’s great specs.

  6. The file download has been blocked because of too much traffic going through the phandroid account. :(

  7. The manual update worked great for me this evening. It would show “download unsuccessful” if I tried to download directly but I signed up for Dropbox and used the app. Thanks, worked perfect!
