HTC J (ISW13HT) Makes An Appearance On Japanese Site Then Quickly Pulled

7

Oh, will you look at that. Seems a new HTC device going by the name of the “J” made a quick appearance on a HTC’s Japanese site, but was quickly pulled soon after it was discovered. The device was listed as heading towards Japanese carrier KDDI, sporting compatibility with their WiMAX network features a clear design departure from HTC’s now famous One series of handsets.

What else can we expect from the J (ISW13HT)? HTC’s page had the ISW13HT rocking Android 4.0 with Sense 4.0, Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon S4 processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of storage (with micro SD slot) and a 4.3-inch qHD display. Kind of a bummer there, we know. It also looks like, from the thumbnails in the above image, as if the J will be come in a white version and bundled with Beats Audio earbuds as well.

Measurements show the device at 132mm tall, 66mm wide and 10mm thick. Before the page was pulled, it was slated for a Spring 2012 release. Now, what was HTC saying about focusing on fewer devices with their One series? We can only speculate when, or if this will ever come stateside but judging by the looks, could fit right in with Sprint as an EVO Design 4G Part Deux? Only time will tell.

  1. well atleast its got ICS :P

  2. Looks pretty cool. Can’t fully tell but it looks like it’s got the in-set screen design like on the Sensation. Still wish they’d bring back the menu button, though.

  3. Less is more. Not the other way around…HTC. smh

  4. So like a sensation, but with ICS and a Qualcomm S4?

    1.  Thats the impression I get from it? I never understood why spring gets 3-4 htc phones to sell at one time and other carriers get 2 tops?
so this would be a replacement for the 99 dollar vivid on att?
just a bunch of nonSENSE i believe

  5. This is a carrier-modified version of HTC One S by KDDI. It’s not coming out of Japan.
