With reports that training on the HTC One X at AT&T began last week along with further evidence suggesting an April 22nd release, we are learning today via BGR that the handset should see its release within five to seven days. A “trusted source” claims the a release announcement should be hitting the wires sometime in the next day or two.
The timing lines up with the April 22nd date we have heard several times over the past several weeks, though a delay that would push the phone back to May was rumored recently. The HTC One XL (as AT&T’s version is also known) differs from the currently available international model. Rather than a quad-core Tegra 3 processor and HSPA+ radio it will feature a dual-core Snapdragon S4 and LTE connectivity.

Ugh why does HTC always make their camera lenses stick out? they get scratched when the phone is laid down.
Indeed! the only knock I had against my Droid Incredible was how far the camera stuck out… positioning is much better on my Rezound.
not to mention, it also looks like ass sticking out like that and cheap.
That would be a great news :) I rather to get my phone early!! I hope they push out an update to fix wifi and battery problem before the phone is out.
Problems are with the tegra model, hopefully the s4 configuration is in good shape. Either way, nowadays getting a phone on release is like being a beta tester..
I never thought about the beta tester thing, but you’re totally right. I feel like I should be paid to get a phone on release, not pay them. Phone manufacturers REALLY need to get their act together and release stable devices.
Wait, now both of them will have an S4? I thought it was previously stated that att was getting a tegra 3 and verizon (cdma) gets S4.
at&t version of One X (XL) is always said to come with Qualcomm S4 dual-core where as the international One X equips with Nvidia Tegra 3.
It has always been this way since their debut in MWC 2012.
There has no Verizon version announced yet.
Ah, thanks for the clearup. I guess I thought verizon was getting the s4 and att was getting the tegra 3 for whatever reason.
Ok, so let me get this straight.
The XL is At&t language for “essentially a One S” ?
It’s better than the One X, so either way it doesn’t matter to me. The s4 has a better cpu. It doesn’t have the same heating issue a few of the tegra3 One X phones are facing. And it has LTE.
what are you doing on your phone that you need faster than Nvidia’s quad core?
Running sense. Lol. JK.
No, my main points were the LTE and the fact that it doesn’t heat up.
I wonder what the price is going to be
i will still be ordering the international version next week even if ATT has one in the store. i would like to use Wallet NFC and hope they are still giving $10 to new accounts.
