Final Fantasy III Is Finally Available For Android Devices (In Japan)

10

I can’t even begin to tell you how many countless hours I dedicated to Final Fantasy III on my Nintendo DS and after finding itself ported to the iPhone last year, Square Enix has finally, finally, decided to bring the 3D remake to Android devices but there’s only one small problem… you better brush up on your Japanese. Currently, the title is only available for Android devices in Japan and hasn’t yet been translated to English.

There’s no telling when — if at all — we’ll see Final Fantasy localized for us here in the states, but for now, we can only dream of the day dancing Chocobos and flying Moogles will grace our devices with their presence. Lord knows we could use some decent turn-based JRPG’s in the Market. Make it happen, Squenix!

Check out the iPhone launch trailer to see the much improved visuals over the Nintendo DS version.

I've been obsessed with consumer technology for about as long as I can remember, be it video games, photography, or mobile devices. If you can plug it in, I have to own it. Preparing for the day when Android finally becomes self-aware and I get to welcome our new robot overlords.

it’s 1 thing i really liked about the DS version: you touched somewhere on screen and your character went there.

    1. I hope not.  I already own 3 copies of Chrono Trigger.  I want a new sequel.  If I want to replay, I’ll play on the DS or SNES.
