It’s another wonderful Monday here at the Phandroid offices and with that comes the Android Overload. This is the place you can turn whenever you need a little extra helping of Android/mobile related news to tide you over through the night. We’ve got a couple of good stories here like Samsung’s newly revealed patent for a “smart skin” that sounds an awful lot like those sticker case/digital wallpapers we see on eBay and Amazon. Not sure exactly what to make of it. Any guesses?

I've been obsessed with consumer technology for about as long as I can remember, be it video games, photography, or mobile devices. If you can plug it in, I have to own it. Preparing for the day when Android finally becomes self-aware and I get to welcome our new robot overlords.

  1. I’m sorry, but that Samsung patent drawing is just hilariously crazy. LoL!! I don’t understand what’s going on at all with those pictures. LoL!!

    1. I know right its like they gave a bunch of 7 year olds a pencil and told them to draw the designs

    2. Their trying to illustrate that you can expand an image past the screen and onto the rest of the device, so when you download a wallpaper you can expand it to fit the entire phone

  2. Sony Xperia S has a non removable battery too??!!!

Looks like Samsung is the only option now…

Htc sony moto….all non removal battery doors! This is crazy this is one of the key points which give greedy ass companies like Apple the finger who can’t change battery after 12 months…

  3. One reason I chose android from iPhone was the removable battery and sd slot.plus ios looks boring. I could go without a sd slot with at least 32 gb built in, but non removable battery isn’t gonna cut it with LTE! Unless they make it 3300mah like the razr maxx.
