AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note available for pre-order today

9

It has taken its time, but the Samsung Galaxy Note is almost in our hands. Today, AT&T will start pre-selling this phone/tablet at a price of $299 on a 2-year contract, with a February 17 delivery-date.

The phone is available in both ceramic white and carbon blue. Just in case you have forgotten, specs include a massive 5.3″ Super AMOLED display (1280x800p), 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, 1 GB of RAM, Android 2.3.5, 4G LTE connectivity, 16 GB of internal storage, an 8 MP rear-facing camera and a 2 MP front-facing camera.

This is by no means a small boy, whether you look at the size or the specs. It is a rather stunning device that can take care many users out there. It is definitely not for everyone, though. The size is in between a phone and a tablet, giving it a bit of an identity crisis. But after checking it out at CES, we can say that it looks much bigger than it feels.

The device is not too huge to not fit in your pocket. And its thinness makes it feel much better then we expected, when holding it with one hand. I would personally pick this bad boy up if it happened to come to my carrier.

If you are also a fan of the Samsung Galaxy Note, you can go ahead and pre-order it at the AT&T website. If you are hunting the deals, though, Best buy is offering a free flip cover case for the same price.

  1. Any plans or word on this getting ICS?

    *first* …first time :)

    1. Samsung confirmed that it would get ICS.  Maybe Q1?  I could be wrong on the timing though.

  2. It would be nice if the system works. I rushed up to the store on my lunch break and they told me that the pre order has not worked all day. Guess I’ll have to try tomorrow.

    1. maybe it was just that store, i pre ordered mine at an at&t one.

  3. maybe when it gets ICS.  For now, Galaxy Nexus GSM.

  4. Not to be ungrateful, but 1GB of RAM in this huge device? Ok… And I didn’t here “external memory capable” or something of the sort.

  5. I still haven’t heard word on the off contract price.  Anyone heard?

  6. Thanks for the way you spelled the article title. Brings me back
