I've been obsessed with consumer technology for about as long as I can remember, be it video games, photography, or mobile devices. If you can plug it in, I have to own it. Preparing for the day when Android finally becomes self-aware and I get to welcome our new robot overlords.

  1. I feel so informed right now. Way more informed than I was mere moments ago! May I call you ‘The Informant’? Can we be a superhero team?

Also – I’m very pleased that the Gubment ain’t going to block cell phone use in cars. I’m not typing this from a car but if I was at least I wouldn’t feel like a sub-par citizen for breaking the rules.

    Thanks for the news!

    1. You’re a moron. They don’t want to ban hands free calling, but still would ban texting. You are part of the problem. Dumbass!

      1. Bakdroid……. better read the article and have all your facts straight before you start calling names . They DID want to ban handsfree as well.

        1. I did read the article.  The NTSB wanted everything banned but the DOT stated that they are ok with hand free for making calls.  My point was the guy saying that he would still write posts while driving which is why I reacted the way I did.  Texting is the problem, not hand-free phone calls.

          1. I’m sorry I don’t live up to your expectations. What may I do to rectify my unacceptable existence to you!

TELL ME FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!!!!

          2. Keep buying Android and hating Apple… :D

          3. Also – ever heard of Speech to Text? It’s positively wonderful for assisting me with SMS while driving.

            Still. Hands. Free.

          4. In all seriousness, texting while driving is very dangerous.  Even speech to text.  You are still not looking at the road and looking at your phone to make sure it typed the right thing.  Best case is if someone texts you, see who it is an call them on a hands free device.

          5. See how easy that was?! That was a well thought out, well written point. No need for debasing name slinging and agressive language!

We’re all (generally) on the same side here. Let’s just try to be friends and present our differences in a bit nicer manner.

          6. Differences?  The only difference is you are dumb to think that texting while driving is ok. It is dangerous and I hope they do outlaw it before people like you kill others for being stupid.  How is that for a well thought out post?

          7. LoL. You are just a bundle of joy :)

  2. They have proposed blocking ALL cellphone use, including hands free in cars.

    1. I know, I wrote it up the other day. This is new. Government says it’s not gonna fly. =)
