Huawei’s T-Mobile Springboard Tablet Now Available for $430

7

Huawei’s just announced on their Facebook page that the T-Mobile Springboard is now available for sale. For $430 you can get an Android 3.0+ tablet with a 7 inch 1280×800 display, a 1.2GHz processor, 16GB of internal storage, WiFi N, Bluetooth 2.1, a 5 megapixel rear camera, a 1.3 megapixel front camera, HSPA+ 4G radios and more.

T-Mobile does have payment options for this tablet. If you sign a new two-year agreement, you can put down $170 (after a $50 mail-in rebate) and pay for the rest of the device over the life of the contract.

While the T-Mobile Springboard is supposed to be viewed as one of T-Mobile’s more affordable tablets, the device still seems quite capable. If you need to see it in person be sure to head to a Magenta store near you as we’re sure they’ll have display units out.

It appears you can’t yet order it online but it should be up there. Be sure to talk all about it at the Huawei MediaPad section (equivalent to the Springboard) at AndroidForums.com. [T-Mobile via Facebook]

The "Google Phone" sounded too awesome to pass up, so I bought a G1. The rest is history. And yes, I know my name isn't Wilson.

  1. Might want to clarify that 1.2GHz “processor” is a Dual-Core Snapdragon (MSM826).

this crap is proof that companies count on people not doing any research

  3. I need a 430 dollar shitty tablet plus 2 year data commitment just to check the weather each day? Jesus what kind of moronic retards work in the Tmobile marketing department.

    1. It’s $430 off-contract; if you want a 2-year contract, it goes down to $170.

      1. Should be $250-299 off contract and $99-149 on a 2 year contract to compete. Known brands like Samsung and Asus have better options for less money

  4. Bought this and installed in the dash of my Mercedes. Very awesome, and looks factory installed. I would have got the Samsung but this one has a better display and no branding on the front so looks really slick in the car. Streaming movies and having google maps as the in car navigation awesome! Car makers need to get with the program.

  5. Finally something that doesn’t use a Tegra. As someone who has owned Tegra devices and been incredibly disappointed with them, I’m thrilled to see this! I might actually nab one of these!
