Norton wants to make the Android tablet more secure with the release of Norton Tablet Security. The new app brings the same protection found in Norton’s smartphone app including web-based anti-theft and anti-malware tools. Speaking of the smartphone version, Norton Mobile Security has received an update with a new feature to help owners find a misplaced or lost phone. Using the “scream” feature, Norton’s app triggers an audible alarm upon receiving a pre-defined text message.
The apps don’t come cheap. Norton’s tablet suite will set buyers back $39.99, while the smartphone counterpart comes in slightly cheaper at $29.99. The purchase includes one full year of protection.

$30? $40? Are you kidding? Just wait. AVG will offer this for free.

and that better not be an annual price…
$40 for a virus? No thanks.
Cool story bro, sounds legit
Put this in the same column as VZ Navigator. A paid service that isn’t as good as its free counterparts.

False, Norton wants to make money off suckers.
Too bad Norton is the worst AV software around.
AVG antivirus added the lost phone feature a few months ago to the free version.
