4G is the new 3G, but 3G has not been forgotten. The Samsung Illusion, which we last saw floating around Flickr, won’t fool anybody with it’s mid-range hardware, but it will provide a decent alternative to the barrage of high-powered smartphones Verizon is offering this holiday season. A leaked rebate sheet reveals the device could be headed to Verizon very soon. How soon? We’d guess it will slip in alongside one of the bigger releases, perhaps paired with the HTC Rezound, Samsung Galaxy Nexus, or Motorola Droid RAZR.

Another fascinate?
Yes, and no. It’s smaller, and probably less powerful.
It’s kinda like the Verizon version of the Galaxy W (aka T-mobile Samsung Exhibit II 4G). 3mpix camera/vga FFC, 3.7inch screen 1ghz CPU, 4096mb rom and 512mb ram with SDcard slot?
